Experience across music, education and community radio

Steg G brings more than 20 years of experience in music, broadcasting, teaching and community development.

His teaching, training and youth-work experience includes Sunny Govan Community Radio, The Sound Lab, the Academy of Music and Sound in Glasgow, Kibble, Glasgow Life, Govan Youth Information Project, YMCA, Arden Chill Out, the @Home Centre in Airdrie and Greenock Prison. He has also delivered freelance training for CamGlen Radio and Bolt Radio.

His broadcasting credits include BBC 1Xtra, Beat 106 FM, Radio Magnetic, Subcity Radio and Highland Radio.

Across these settings, his work has covered music production, DJing, rap and songwriting, recording, radio, podcasting and live performance—helping people develop practical skills, confidence and their own creative voice.

From first ideas to the stage

Young people explored rap, songwriting, beat-making, recording and performance.

Participants created original music, presented three radio shows and progressed into live showcases and festival performances. Their feedback highlighted greater confidence, stronger creative connections and finding their own voice.
